KCTV5 - Hali and up to 15 friends and family went to Fogo de Chao about 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant was pretty empty because most fans had stayed home to watch the game or traveled to Arrowhead.
Hali and his group enjoyed the all-you-can-eat-pig-out-fest of meat and racked up a bill of more than $1,800. The restaurant automatically added a tip of almost $300.
Restaurant employees say Hali is a regular customer who is a generous tipper. Still they were stunned when he added an additional $1,000 gratuity onto the bill.
“It made our day. Hands down, it made our day,” server Joshua Roan said. “The staff was over the top. He was the last guest in the building. There was a lot of shouting and hollering after he left. We had to wait until he left. We had to keep it professional.”
That’s gotta put a smile on your face. Tamba just being a regular good dude, making people’s days and what not. Pretty cool. He’s not having a bad season either, racking up nine sacks in seven games, good for 4th best in the NFL.
Work hard, play hard. No one does it better than Penn State.
S/O to Justin
Update: Good find by reader Brad to point out, he actually did not include the $296.69 for included gratuity in his total.
Question is, do they go by the total price he wrote, or the additional tip? Because if he wants to leave the additional $1,000, the total should be $2,323.78. If they take his written total as $2,027.09, he would have only given a $704 additional tip.
But that’s here nor there, it doesn’t really matter because the intention was there. Just found that find by Brad somewhat interesting.
