No more Lehigh! Training camp in Philly! I mean, I’m stoked. I made that trip two summers in a row, and it kinda sucked. It wasn’t worth the trip. Now, training camp will be at the Linc or Novacare this summer. Perfect. Media loves it, the commute is world’s easier. The players LOVE it, they don’t have to schlep to Bethlehem now. It’s a win, win, win, all the way around, as far as I see it. Unless you live near Lehigh. Then I guess it sucks. Sorry, Lehigh folks.

And there’s this (disregard D-Gunn’s spelling of Lehigh):

  1. I take it as a slap in the face. The Eagles will hold “a few” open practices at the Linc. My guess is that means like 2. Sure, driving up to Lehigh sucked, but I always had a good time and it was like a summer tradition. It was one of the few ways that fans could stay connected with the team is a world where there is an ever-increasing disconnect between fans and players/teams. Add in the negative economic impact for the folks in Lehigh and it sucks all around. This is a loss and a slap in the face for fans in my opinion.
