Deadpsin is just killing it. Their Te’o story might be the most visited article/blog post on the internet, ever. Seriously. Like, it’s the first time a website/media outlet had complete exclusivity on an original “super-mega-social media” article (yes, I just made that term up right now).
For example, with the Penn State scandal, which was also a “super-mega-scoial media” article, many outlets were able to publish their own original piece on the scandal. There wasn’t an exclusive story associated with that, in which Deadspin has with their Te’o story. Deadspin is getting linked and mentioned left and right by big time players like CNN, TSP, ESPN, etc. and those companies never like to give others credit. A link is unheard of for ESPN.
