Christian Hackenberg Earns Starting QB In Today’s Under Armour All-American Game

***Watch the #1 QB and PSU commit, Christian Hackenberg tonight at 5 PM on ESPN***

The Under Armour All-American game attracts some of the most talented high school football players around the country. It is said is said to be a “wake-up call” to guys that have been accustomed to dominating at their high schools. This is probably the best evaluation we will get to see how guys will fare at the next level.

The game will air tonight on ESPN at 5 PM and this will be a great opportunity for us all to see Christian in action. As Herbstreet wrote earlier in the week, Hackenberg stepped in right away and was considered one of the top performers all week. It will be interesting to watch and see how he does against some of the best competition in the country. I personally, can’t wait to see how Hack will do against the closest thing to a college defense. Definitely a must watch.

Other notes: Across the country in California, other PSU commits such as DE Garrett Sickels and Guard, Brendan Mahon are competing in the Army All-American Game. Another game that attracts the best high school players in the country.

Mahon was named captain:

Just want to let my community know I will be representing the east in the army All American Bowl as a Captain #blessed
@BigBabyMahon
Brendan Mahon

And according to Rivals, Sickels has been one of, if not the, hardest working guys there.

This is just another testament to the type of kids that Bill O’Brien and his staff have recruited. Talented kids that are hardworking and leaders. We have a lot to thank these kids for sticking with Penn State and as Nittany Lion fans, we certainly have a lot to look forward to.
