[DailyTexanOnline]Three UT Greek organizations have issued apologies after controversy over their ethnic-themed parties spread during the last few days.
UT’s Zeta Tau Alpha and Delta Delta Delta sororities and Alpha Tau Omega fraternity apologized for any offense they may have caused the UT community in three separate statements. All three organizations say they had no negative intentions with their theme parties.
Although ethnic-themed parties are nothing new in the UT community, tensions were heightened after a B party, hosted by the UT chapters of Zeta Tau Alpha and Delta Delta Delta, made headlines Friday in Burnt Orange Report and Monday in The Daily Texan.
Yup. Found this in the Texan Daily (assuming that’s the equivalent of the Daily Collegian) from September. Didn’t sniff the AP, Yahoo, or CNN, or anything close to national news. So get off your high horse George Lopez people. This goes on at ALL big universities all over the country. Is it right? No. But usually, we don’t even know (care?) it’s happening.
Again, this is WRONG in all cases, but why is everyone attacking Penn State like we invented the “Mexican themed” social. Child Please.
Ps. Us against the world.

Did you find a picture where they were holding signs stating “I don’t cut grass I smoke it” and “will mow lawn for weed + beer”?
