Had to look up the ruling on this:
ELIGIBILITY - Varsity Football players are ineligible for Intramural Football. Former varsity letter winners of any collegiate program may not participate in the same sport until one full year after receiving the letter. Anyone who has been declared a Professional Athlete in a sport may not compete in that sport or “like” sport until one full year from the date of his or her last contest.
He’s eligible. Nothing says he can’t play? He’s not a varsity football player. He’s not a former letterman, and he sure as hell isn’t a professional athlete. Paul Jones coming to IM fields near you!
