Come on, give me a break. I’m not one who is for bashing Ficken, and I sure as hell feel for him, but come on. That’s like obnoxiously supporting someone. I’m getting sick of Penn State blindly supporting the football team, at times. We’re allowed to be critical as fans and right now, they’re 0-2 and look awful. Ficken missed 4 FG’s, and probably cost Penn State a win, and I’m sure Sam would be the first to tell you he played like dog shit. He was awful.
Can we stop pretending this football season is fun? I’m not having fun. You’re not having fun. Bill O’Brien isn’t having fun. This isn’t fun. The team stinks right now. If they lose to Navy—I don’t even want to think about that. Character is great and all, but it only gets you so many wins. Just saying.

I wouldn’t say the team stinks. We certainly outplayed Virginia and while the Ohio game wasn’t pretty, if you take away a few specific mistakes, we would have won that one too
