Herbstreet put this video on blast today on the TSP text group (damn you wish you were a part of that don’t you?). He framed it as “the worst video he’s ever seen”. Here were my reactions in honor of tonight being “Bid Night”:
1. I probably shouldn’t even post anything about this. I don’t want big Roy Baker, Panhel, and the IFC showing up at my place tonight to burn it down.
2. Roy Baker… haha. I’m doing a post.
3. 0:32 – How bad do you have to fuck up with a sorority in order to get covered up by a teddy bear?
4. 0:56 – hahahahaha. real inconspicuous, Alpha Phi Rush Chair. Almost got me. Good try.
5. 1:03 – I guess a lot of people fucked up… or they initiated 6 teddy bears with smoke-show bodies over the past 4 years.
6. 2:02 – Oh god. I hate Herbstreet for even making me watch this… but I’m pretty sure I dance exactly like the girl in the Sixers jersey.
7. 2:14 – Aaaaand here’s the “rush chat”. I’m skipping ahead (losing interest… watching the Phillies becoming a more viable option).
8. 4:34 – I like this song. All of my friends that write for this site also like this song. I’m intrigued.
9. 5:02 – Group dime-a-dozen? (Almost) Every single girl is a smoke. Good god.
10. 6:00 – I’ll hold hands and run through the biggest-waste-of-money-ever-building lawn with an Alpha Phi any day of the week. And the “guy” is wearing a Phillies hat… just saying. I’m available.
11. 6:11 – Definitely won’t do that though. Never mind.
12. 6:30 – Welp. This just got weird (full attention to Phillies game)
Kudos to Alpha Phi for making a ballsy video, though. If a majority of your girls weren’t so hot, it definitely would have sucked. But they are. And it was bearable.
PS – In all seriousness, congratulations to all the new babies pledges whatever I’m allowed to call them now. Hopefully it wasn’t cry-fest 2012 on the HUB lawn tonight like it was last year. And congratulations to all of the older girls for not having to deal with recruitment anymore. That. Shit. Sucks. Can’t even imagine having to deal with that.
