The Philadelphia Eagles season kicks off this weekend and I began looking back at past years and found this:
Since 2009 the Eagles have opened at home against the Super Bowl winning team that year. In 2009, the Saints beat the Eagles 48-22. In 2010, the Eagles lost their first home game against the Packers 27-20. In 2011, the Eagles lost their first home game to the New York Giants 29-16.
So if history continues to repeat itself then it seems like if the Baltimore Ravens beat the Eagles Week 2 they will be holding the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year. Or maybe the Eagles beat the Ravens and end up holding the Lambardi Trophy?
1 Star No way in hell the Birds are contenders. Juan Castillo is still our DC and Mike Vick can’t stay healthy. History will probably repeat itself.
