[Examiner] Former Penn State wide receiver Justin Brown may have switched football programs, but the senior will work to complete his media studies degree from Penn State. Brown says he would not have left Penn State for Oklahoma if the option to complete his degree through Penn State was not available.
“Just being there for years and putting in a lot of work on and off the field and in the community – no disrespect to Oklahoma, I’m sure that this is a great university – but I just felt like it meant a lot to get that Penn State degree,’‘ said Brown in a report by the Associated Press.
First reaction was trader! He shouldn’t be allowed to get a Penn State. Second reaction was that says a lot about Penn State and the meaning of a PSU degree.
I don’t know though. Just abandon the university for a meaningless bowl game and still get the honorable degree from PSU? Can’t have your cake and eat it too, bro.
1 star for no thanks, go play in a bowl game bro
5 stars for pretty cool how much Justin values his PSU degree

i’m pretty sure that’s not how picking a university is supposed to work….
Doesn’t this go against all the reasons why the NCAA made such a punitive example of Penn State and their “putting football above all else?” Just shows that Brown made this move strictly for a football reason to possibly play in a big time bowl game, which completely contradicts the NCAA’s reasonings against PSU. Same went with when they made all of PSU’s players “free agents.” It became a all hands on deck situation, again with every school putting football first with no regards to the kids leaving classrooms, their apartment, or the weight room. The NCAA needs to take a hard look in the mirror itself.
Oklahoma is a national championship contender…and has one of the best coaches and QB in the country…so he didn’t transfer for just a “meaningless bowl game”
I am pretty sure he left because his mom is really sick and he wanted to be closer so he could help her…. I could be wrong but I am sure this is the reason. He would have stated with PSU football had it not been for this.
