[collider.com] Mark Wahlberg, Adam McKay, and Will Ferrell are gearing up to bring Daily Show alum and prolific bit-part player Rob Riggle to HBO. McKay and Ferrell (producers of the network’s black comedy Eastbound and Down) and Wahlberg (producer of seemingly everything else on HBO) will team with Riggle and fellow Eastbound producer Chris Henchy to develop a 1980s-set Wall Street comedy that Riggle will star in. He’ll be playing a successful bonds trader who, one assumes, will prove to be not unlike Kenny Powers in his repulsive yet enthralling overall approach to life.

Finally some good, clean, uncontroversial news for everyone. This show is going to be absolutely hysterical. Rob Riggle as a Charlie Sheen Wall Street 1980s blow maniac mixed with Kenny Powers? I’m setting my DVR already. My only question: how has no one thought of this before? As a finance major myself (always following the money… aside from my job with TSP), I don’t think I’ve been this excited for a show since the last time I was this excited for a show.
PS – POW!
