Sixers Resign One of Softest Players In NBA

[ESPN] The Philadelphia 76ers and center Spencer Hawes have agreed to a two-year, $13.1 million extension, according to a report by Yahoo! Sports.

Hawes’ agent, Greg Lawrence, told Yahoo! Sports the two sides had agreed to the extension.

Hawes, a five-year veteran, averaged 9.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season, his second with the 76ers.

Why? Why? Why would you do that. I would have understood a one year deal since Brand is coming off the books and you will have some cap space for next years big free agency. But now you are paying $6.5 million over the next two years. I really hope they have a plan because between the Celtics, Knicks, Nets in your division, and then the Heat in the same conference, there isn’t much to look forward to as a Sixers fan.

Ps. Evan Turner isn’t worried about the Celtics, Knicks, Nets, or Heat; he’s just glad Toronto didn’t get Steve Nash!

I'm glad Steve Nash is in the West still and not in Toronto next year or else the Raptors wouldve been even tougher to play!
