[Deadspin] “I hate the fans. It is bad enough that they bother us during the season, but they will not leave us alone in December when we go out to eat. We stayed here during the off season last year, but we will be going to California this year. There must be something particularly bad about Phillies fans because all the players leave in the off season.”
Oh really, Sarah? Ryan Madson might hear a couple boos the next time he takes the mound in Philly. You’re lucky you don’t play, you would get booed right out of town. Go to fucking California. Because in California, you’re right, they won’t bother you. You know why? Because they don’t love their athletes like we do in Philly. They don’t have passionate and die hard fans in California, or any city, like we have in Philadelphia.
So when we win the World Series in October, please Sarah Madson, please go to California. Just get the fuck out of here. Don’t smile, don’t celebrate, and definitely do NOT interact with any of the terrible and awful Phillies fans. We are sorry that your husband is someone that we admire and someone that we are proud to have represent our city on the baseball diamond.

The Madson’s released a statement today, and they did NOT say that the claim was false. They statement said stuff like they love Philadelphia, but never discounted the claim Laura Goldman made about Sarah Madson. Great piece by Kyle, but I have no reason to believe that Sarah Madson didn’t say that.
