[USA Today] How closely is Penn State trying to have scout team quarterback Evan Lewis mimic Denard Robinson in preparation for its game against Michigan? Lewis has been given a wig to wear during practice to simulate Robinson’s dreadlocks.
With Penn State set to play Michigan on Halloween-eve Saturday night in State College, Penn State scout team wideout, Andrew Goodman, had just the right trick up his sleeve. Goodman, who lives with The School Philly and occasionally helps promote our blog, brought a Jamaican hair wig to practice on Tuesday. The wig belonged to The School Philly. The wig was worn by me on Halloween weekend of 2007.
Goodman brought the wig to practice and gave it to fellow scout team wideout Evan Lewis, who is playing QB and portraying Denard Robinson in practice this week. The coaches and players loved Goodman’s idea, and the national media was all over it. Goodman was the sole reason of this harmless joke. It had nothing to do with the coaching staff of Penn State. However, the media is giving the coaching staff and Evan Lewis all the credit, and our roommate and my lifelong friend got snubbed. Well, not anymore Goodman. We got you.
